Overcomers, are you searching for true love? Knowing the love God has for you is the first step.
God is love. 1 John 4:8
LOVE
We are not talking about worldly love that is here today and gone tomorrow, but a Godly love that is demonstrated by your actions.
When you say you love someone it must be backed up by your actions because love is an act like faith is also shown by your actions.
God demonstrated His love for us by coming to the world in the form of a man, Jesus Christ, to redeem us from death.
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
So we understand from the scripture that while we were sinners God sent His son to die for us.
Love then is not something that someone is deserving of but is given freely.
God gave us His love freely and paid the price for us to be saved.
His love is an everlasting one.
The story of the prodigal son in Luke 15 was a story of a father’s love.
Despite the fault of the son who took an inheritance that was not due and squandered it, his father was still waiting for his return.
No matter where you find yourself in life, the Lord is still waiting for your return.
His arms are wide open to receive you.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
The bible says also in Psalm 51:17:
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise.
The Lord has drawn you to Himself because He loves you. Respond to His love by accepting Him as your Lord and Saviour today.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, I thank You for loving me. I acknowledge Your Son Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and I repent of my sins. Thank You for accepting me as your child in Jesus Christ name. Amen.
